Curriculum Development
Drik Pathshala
CERTAD has provided continuing instructional support and capacitated the facilitators in curriculum development at the Learning Centre for slum children, based in Chittoor, called Drik Pathshala. This initiative was started in April 2006 and continues on a monthly basis. These sessions are conducted either in Drik Pathshala, Chittoor, or in the CERTAD campus in Bangalore.
In every session, schemes of work are planned in depth and resources, relevant to the students, are sourced. Continued support and feedback are provided when the facilitators implement their plans in their classrooms.
Mallya Aditi International School
- CERTAD has provided support to develop curriculum, plan assessment rubrics and support team teaching in Mallya Aditi International School, working with various departments in the school.
- CERTAD has also set up a mentoring programme in Mallya Aditi International School to support new faculty through their first year in the school.
Belaku Trust
- CERTAD facilitated a workshop with the members of the Belaku Trust, an NGO that works in the area of health and education in the villages in Kanakapura. Over a week, the Belaku Trust facilitators were empowered to develop a health curriculum, complete with activities that could be used to create health awareness amongst children and women in rural districts.
- CERTAD conducted workshops with the Anganwadi teachers in Kanakapura, with the aim of energizing their teaching strategies and attitudes to work.

Deccan International School
- CERTAD conducted a two day workshop in Deccan International School for thirty teachers from K - 10, in Creative Teaching in Maths and Science.
- A two-day workshop in the CERTAD campus, introduced these teachers to innovative strategies in Reading, which included reading of text books, fiction, non-fiction, magazines and poetry.
