Future Academies of Learning

This project emphasizes a future in which students will engage with multiple ways of looking at, conceptualizing and producing work. It has investigated certain production centers outside of the walls of the formative art and design institutions of the present, centers that have a history and a way of fitting into today's context. Among the production spaces investigated, for instance, are lithography centers in Bangalore with their hybrid methods of production by hand and machine, where there are symbiotic relationships between handiwork and printing technologies.
